Snapchat has announced that it will be expanding its ChatGPT-based My AI bot to all users. Previously, the bot was limited to Snapchat+ subscribers but will now roll out globally to everyone on the platform.
The social media company also announced new features for the bot, including the ability for users to customise My AI to their liking with, "thousands of unique Bitmoji variations".

The bot can also be prompted in group conversations by typing @MyAI and inputting a question. Snapchat says they will make the AI's response standout by adding a sparkle next to its name.
Users will able to ask My AI for suggestions and recommendations. For example - suggestions on weekend activities or helping users pick out a Lens filter to wish someone. The Snapchat community can send pictures to My AI, and it will generate a unique generative Snap back, "that keeps the visual conversation going!"

Snapchat acknowledges that My AI is "far from perfect" but the company has made a lot of progress. The platform said they, "will continue to use these early learnings to make AI a more safe, fun, and useful experience".
