Apple unveils cheaper iPad, to hit stores in April

The ‘cheaper’ iPad is priced at Rs 28,000 for the 32GB variant with WiFi and Rs 38,600 for the 32GB WiFi and cellular model.

California-based technology giant Apple unveiled a cheaper iPad model at an ‘educational event’ on Tuesday.

The new model comes with a 9.7-inch retina display screen, has an eight megapixel rear camera, features an aluminium unibody and will have an LTE option. It will be powered by an Apple A10 chip.

It comes with a regular TouchID, and not a FaceID like iPhone X. The devices have a battery backup of 10 hours.
