A few days back, we talked about the popularity of Ubuntu Linux headed downwards and Linux Mint, another distribution based on it on the rise. Just yesterday, an update to the Linux Mint distribution was launched. The latest version, 12, called Lisa was made available for download yesterday. The distribution is based on Ubuntu. There are a whole bunch of features that have been added to the new distribution. Linux Mint 12 uses Gnome 3 and the MGSE (Mint Gnome Shell Extension), which enhance the interface a bit more than the standard Gnome UI.
