Chennai, March 5 (PTI) Senior DMK leader T R Baalu tonight indicated his party could review its decision to pull its ministers out of the Union Cabinet if the Congress relents on its stand over sharing of seats in the upcoming Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu.
The DMK's action of withdrawing ministers does not appear to pose immediate threat to the Congress-led coalition in case of a trial of strength. The ruling coalition has the backing of 310 MPs, including the outside support being provided by parties like SP, BSP and RJD.
The Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) on Saturday decided to pull out of UPA Government at the Centre and withdrew its ministers from the Cabinet. The DMK, however, said it will provide only issue-based support to the UPA Government.
The DMK party, a key member of India's ruling coalition, said on Saturday it was withdrawing from the Congress-led government, dealing a huge blow to embattled Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
