The website of Supreme Court of India has been down, leading many to believe that it has been hacked, especially after the recent incident involving the Defence Ministry website.
Within an hour of the apex court’s decision to dismiss pleas seeking an independent probe into the alleged mysterious death of special CBI judge BH Loya, its website supremecourtofindia.nic.in became inaccessible and reflected message that the site can’t be reached. However, some media reports have emerged saying it has been hacked by a ‘Brazil Hack Team’. They shared a screenshot of the homepage showing a leaf-like structure on the page and stating ‘hackeado por HighTech Brazil HacTeam’ on top.
However, the site is now showing 'Site Under Maintenance' message on the page.
Earlier, in the month, the website of Ministry of Defence was also under cyber attack. The site went down and was believed to be hacked as Chinese text appeared on the web page. However, the site was up and running shortly.
