Jangpura Election Results 2025 Live: Manish Sisodia is leading in Jangpura against BJP's Tarvinder Singh Marwah by 2345 votes, early trends by Election Commission show. According to EC data, the deputy CM currently has 7802 votes while BJP's Tarvinder Singh Marwah has 5457 votes.

AAP's Manish Sisodia trails with 1314 votes in Jangpur Constituency as per trends on the Election Commission, with BJP's Tarvinder Singh Marwah leads with 4114, and Congress's Farhad Suri in the third place with 743.

After the second round of voting, Manish Sisodia from AAP takes the lead with 7,802. BJP's Tarvinder Singh Marwah trailing behind with Congress' Farhad Suri.

The upcoming fight in Jangpura is expected to be tough, as the BJP has nominated Tarvinder Singh Marwah. Notably, Marwah had previously contested from Jangpura as a Congress candidate. However, he left the Congress party and joined the BJP in 2022. Marwah has won the constituency three times on a Congress ticket, in 1998, 2003, and 2008.

This is the first time Manish Sisodia contested from Jangpura Constituency. Before the 2025 Delhi Election, Sisodia contested from Patparganj where he had emerged victorious in three consecutive elections. He won by a slender margin of 3,207 votes against his nearest rival Ravinder Singh Negi of the BJP in the 2020 Delhi Assembly polls. In the 2015 polls, he defeated BJP's Vinod Kumar Binny by 28,761 votes and in 2013, he defeated BJP's Nakul Bhardwaj by a margin of 11,476 votes.

Jangpura Assembly constituency is part of 3. East Delhi (General) Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP was the leading party in this assembly segment. The East Delhi Lok Sabha seat was won by Harsh Malhotra of BJP defeating Kuldeep Kumar (Monu) of AAP.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, BJP led in this assembly segment. The East Delhi Lok Sabha seat was won by Gautam Gambhir of BJP beating Arvinder Singh Lovely of INC. In 2014, BJP was ahead in this particular assembly segment and the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency was won by Maheish Girri of BJP defeating Rajmohan Gandhi of AAP.

In the 2009 Parliamentary elections, INC was the leading party in the Jangpura assembly segment while the East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency was won by Sandeep Dikshit of INC defeating Chetan Chauhan of BJP.
