An IndiGo flight travelling from Kuwait to Hyderabad was diverted to Mumbai on Tuesday after authorities received a threat message claiming a human bomb was on board.

The warning was sent through a detailed email to Hyderabad airport and was assessed as specific, prompting an immediate security response.

The aircraft landed safely in Mumbai, where it was moved to an isolation bay for checks. Security teams and emergency responders were on standby as officials inspected the plane. There was no immediate clarity on the number of passengers onboard, and an official statement from IndiGo was still awaited.

The alert came a day after a private school in Mira Road, Thane, received a bomb threat email. Police searched the campus with the bomb detection and disposal squad, but it was later confirmed to be a hoax. Additional personnel were deployed, and classes continued as normal.
