Former JNU student leader Umar Khalid was granted interim bail on December 18 to attend his cousin's wedding.
Delhi's Karkardooma court approved the bail for seven days for this purpose.
Khalid will be allowed to be released from December 28 to January 3.
Khalid was accused under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and sections of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly orchestrating the 2020 Delhi riots, which led to 53 fatalities and more than 700 injuries.
The unrest occurred during protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).
He was arrested by the Delhi Police in September 2020.
