Delhi EV policy extended, grant for DSFDC: Key Cabinet decisions announced by CM Atishi

She said that electric vehicles purchased on Jan 1, 2024 and after will get subsidy as well as road tax exemption.

Delhi chief minister Atishi announced several important decisions taken during the cabinet meeting on Thursday.

During a media briefing, Atishi announced that the Delhi government has extended the EV policy till March 2025.

She said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi has approved a grant of Rs 17 crore to Delhi Scheduled Caste Finance and Development (DSFDC) for paying pending salaries to its employees.

She added that electric vehicles purchased on Jan 1, 2024 and after will get subsidy as well as road tax exemption.

"Delhi cabinet has decided to open optometry training wing at Guru Nanak Eye Centre," she said.

The decisions come just weeks before the Election Commission is expected to announce the dates for the assembly elections in Delhi. The tenure of 7th Delhi Assembly is scheduled to end on 15 February 2025.
