Pankaj Kapoor, managing director of Harrisons Malayalam, in an exclusive interview with CNBC-TV18's Ekta Batra and Reema Tendulkar, feels that the unrest in Middle East and Gulf would hinder trade ties in this large tea drinking markets.
Harrisons Malyalam has reported a sales turnover of Rs 95.03 crore and a net profit of Rs 5.57 crore for the quarter ended Dec '10. For the quarter ended Dec 2009, the sales turnover was Rs 85.15 crore and net profit was Rs 6.36 crore.
Pankaj Kapoor, the MD of the rubber firm, in an interview on CNBC-TV18, says the proportion of business revenue being generated from rubber and tea is changing. FY10 saw rubber and tea adding 50% to the revenue.
