The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a public advisory warning students to be on alert for fake social media accounts of CBSE on X, formerly Twitter.
Some of these accounts, with the CBSE logo in the display picture, are circulating misinformation on exam schedules and the registration process, among others. Some of the posts also suggest users send their exam query on a mail unrelated to CBSE.
“It has come to the notice of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that the following handles have been found to be using the name/or logo of CBSE, with a view to mislead the general public on X,” the public advisory reads with a list of “misleading” handles.

The CBSE said it will not be responsible for any information given by any other source using the name and logo of CBSE.
