RBI promotes Aviral Jain as executive director

The Reserve Bank of India on October 4 promoted Aviral Jain as an executive director.

A career central banker, Jain was earlier serving as the regional director for Maharashtra in the RBI, according to a press release from the central bank.

As the ED, Jain will be looking after the legal department, premises department and serve as the first appellate authority under Right to Information Act, according to the RBI press release.

The RBI said "Jain has experience of more than three decades in areas of supervision, currency management, foreign exchange regulation and human resource management."
