Chennai, Jan 25 (PTI) Various daily sevas of the famous hill shrine of Lord Venktaeswara in Tirumala would be telecast live on the Sri Venkateswara Bhakthi Channel (SVBC) starting January 30 for the benefit of devotees. “The SVBC (run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam) will live telecast all the seva programmes such as 'suprabatham' and 'thomala' from the auspicious Rathasapthami festival day on January 30 for the benefit of people who could not visit the temple," TTD Chennai Advisory Committee President Anand Kumar Reddy told reporters here today. The telecast would commence from 4 a.m. with the 'suprabatham' (waking up of the Lord), he said. TTD decided to telecast these sevas live as there was heavy demand for tickets for them and devotees had to wait for even several weeks. "This telecast will help the people see the programmes from the comfort of their homes,” he added. SVBC would also telecast live the Rathasapthami festival during which the utsav idol of the presiding deity is taken around the temple on seven 'vahanas', he added.
