UID project launched in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, May 1 (PTI) Unique Identification (UID) Number project was launched in Gujarat today with the officials taking biometric fingerprints of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi. R S Sharma, Director General of the Government of India’s UID project took the biometric fingerprints of Modi for his identity card and registered him under the project. Chief Minister expressed the State government’s commitment for the execution of the project stating that it would benefit the people in many ways.
