Market is likely to open flat ahead of sixth bi-monthly Monetary Policy Statement 2016-17 from the Reserve Bank of India, says a report by SMC Global.

SMC Global's Market Outlook:Outlook for the day The market is likely to open flat ahead of sixth bi-monthly Monetary Policy Statement 2016-17 from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Asian shares are down but the lead from Wall Street is positive as stocks finished modestly higher. The European markets were mixed as investors remained wary of the developments in Europe, where anti-establishment movements are gaining traction ahead of elections. Hero MotoCorp, Bharat Forge, Cipla, Indraprastha Gas, NTPC, Oracle Financial Services Software, Reliance Power, Siemens, Tata Chemicals, Union Bank of India and United Breweries are to announce their results today. As per provisional figures, foreign institutional investors (FIIs)/Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 201.13 crore on February 7, 2017.
