Banking stocks look attractive, says IV Subramanium, Director, Quantum AMC.

Subramanium told CNBC-TV18, "Banking after the correction looks attractive. There could be some near term pressures but having said that on a very normalized basis if you value these banks some of them are beginning to look attractive. Even in the engineering space, I am not saying that all these stocks are looking very expensive. Certain stocks are definitely lot more attractive."

He further added, "If I look up the possible menu available to me maybe if the market corrects a bit more then I would have a much wider choice to choose from. So that is the only issue where people would be deliberating more, people like us would be deliberating whether to buy A or B or C or which stock to buy. Even in the engineering space, we have found that certain stocks have corrected and they do look attractive. There are lots more other stocks, which we would generally like to buy but we are still not buying because they look expensive."
