Nifty 5500 Call adds 27.8 lakh shares in Open Int

Stock futures added 1.16 crore shares in OI. Nifty 5500 Call added 27.8 lakh shares in Open Interest while Nifty 5200 Put added 6.2 lakh shares in Open Interest

FIIs were net buyers of Rs 730 crore in Index Futures; which open interest (OI) was up by 11742 contracts. FIIs were net buyers of Rs 1022 crore in Index Options; which OI was up by 88882 contracts.

Stock futures added 1.16 crore shares in OI. Nifty 5500 Call added 27.8 lakh shares in Open Interest while Nifty 5200 Put added 6.2 lakh shares in Open Interest.

Delivery based selling and fresh shorts were seen in Jain Irrigation, Unitech, Tata Motors and RIL. Jain Irrigation plunged 18.5%; its OI was up by 135% and delivery volume increased at 42 lakh equity shares as against 10 lakh shares. FIIs holding stands at 55%.

Unitech fell 10%; its OI was up by 8% and delivery volume jumped at 2.8 crore equity shares as against 86 lakh shares. FIIs holding stands at 34.2%.

Tata Motors cracked 6.8%; its OI was up by 4% and delivery volume increased at 19.5 lakh shares versus 8.2 lakh. RIL lost 2.7%; its OI was up by 3% and delivery volume went up at 43.5 lakh equity shares as against 29.5 lakh shares.

Fresh shorts were seen in BPCL. The stock fell 5.3%; its OI was up by 9% and delivery volume rose to 3.2 lakh shares versus 2.6 lakh.
