DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund has slashed its exposure in banking & financial services, information technology and engineering & capital goods space.
Coal India, Gujarat Pipavav Port and Hindustan Unilever were the top sells.A study of DSP BlackRock scheme for the month of March 2011 shows that in the banking & financial services space, the fund sold ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Housing Development Finance Corporation. It also exited Indian Bank and Sundaram Finance. However, it purchased Union Bank of India, IDBI Bank and Axis Bank. It also introduced Infrastructure Development Finance Company, Bajaj Finserv and Federal Bank. (View - All Bulk Deals by Mutual Funds).
In the information technology segment, it sold Infosys Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services and Oracle Financial Services Software. Also it exited Mphasis and Nucleus Software in the same space. The fund sold Cummins India, Larsen and Toubro and Areva T&D in the engineering & capital goods, while it introduced Titagarh Wagons.
