Panacea Biotec share price hit the 5 percent upper circuit in December 26 trading session on receiving mega Rs 127 crore UNICEF order.
Panacea Biotec stock opened with a gain of 5 percent to hit an intraday high of Rs 454.90 per share on the NSE. Later, it pared some of the gains to quote at Rs 445.05 apiece, up 2.72 percent at around 11:30 AM. The counter has been rising for the two days. The company's market cap has jumped to Rs 2,755.98 crore.
The sharp up move in the share price was seen after the company informed the exchanges on December 24 that the company has received a Letter of Award from United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) for supply of 115 million doses of its bivalent oral polio vaccine (bOPV) worth Rs 127 Crore in CY2025.
UNICEF plans to use the supply of bOPV for its requirements in countries in Africa and Asia region, the company said in the statement.
Panacea Biotec share price has delivered multibagger returns of 160.47 percent on Year-to-date (YTD) rate.
