Don't see rupee going beyond 47.50 levels: Axis Bank

Partho Mukherjee of Axis Bank in an interview to CNBC-TV18 said the situation in Europe and Greece could be a problem for all currencies including rupee. If something drastic happens in Greece then more volatility and weakness could be seen in rupee.

Partho Mukherjee, President- Treasury & International Banking, Axis Bank in an interview to CNBC-TV18 said the situation in Europe and Greece could be a problem for all currencies including rupee. If something drastic happens in Greece then more volatility and weakness could be seen in rupee.

"However, if one leaves aside the situation in Greece, 47.50 would be floor for rupee. Citing the near-term range for rupee, Mukherjee said, " I would not see rupee going beyond 47.50 levels. On the other hand if it were to rebound I would not be surprised to see rupee rebounding over 47.
