Gold rises 1.6% to USD 1786.9/ounce

December gold contract rose 1.6% to USD 1786.9/ounce and September silver contract went up 1.4% to USD 39.87 per ounce in the international markets.

Precious metals saw buying on Tuesday while crude witnessed some sell-off.

December gold contract rose 1.6% to USD 1786.9/ounce and September silver contract went up 1.4% to USD 39.87 per ounce in the international markets.

September crude oil contract declined 1.4% to USD 88.65 a barrel and September natural gas contract went down 2.1% to USD 3.94 per MMBtu.
