Asian markets trading lower; Nikkei, Straits Times down

At 7: 42 am (IST), Asian markets were trading lower. Shanghai Composite shed 0.77%, Hang Seng was down 0.16% and Nikkei slipped 0.96%.

At 7: 42 am (IST), Asian markets were trading lower. China's Shanghai Composite shed 0.77% or 18.81 points at 2,415.67.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down 0.16% or 38.32 points at 23,218.61.

Japan's Nikkei slipped 0.96% or 110.14 points at 11,353.61.

Singapore's Straits Times declined 0.39% or 12.64 points at 3,263.89.

South Korea's Seoul Composite was flat at 1,936.32.

Taiwan Weighted shut today.
