The Indian rupee opened at 45.40 per dollar versus 45.33 yesterday.

Ssharad D Pawaar, SPFX India said that, "With the dollar rallying across the board, the rupee may weaken today. The uncertainty in the equity markets is also likely to weigh on the currency. The range for the day is seen between 45.30- 45.50/$."
