Here is expert equity call for the day on how the markets are expected to trade:

Nandan Chakraborty, Enam: The Sensex has corrected 17% since November on account of domestic concerns and an attractive US market performance. While the correction may still have a few legs left, valuations are now getting into an attractive zone for select stocks and sectors. Our defensive large cap pack includes RIL, Coal India, JSPL and Tata Power.

Sean Darby, Nomura: The momentum in Indian markets has dropped due to worries over monetary tightening, slipping industrial production and corporate governance issues. However, India was a favourite within the ASEAN last year and the recent decline should be put into context given the very high foreign ownership of many regional bourses including India.
