FIIs net sell Rs 991 cr in F&O segment (prov)

FIIs have net sold Rs 97 crore while DIIs have net bought Rs 48 crore in the cash market on March 21, as per provisional data available on NSE. FIIs were net sellers of Rs 991 crore in the F&O market.

Market cues:

Japan's Nikkei 225 Average bounced back 3% today as it opened after 3-days.

European markets hit one-week high on Monday; CAC was up 2.5%, DAX up 2.3% and FTSE up 1.2%. CBOE VIX ended down 15.6% at 20.61.

There were reports that the engineers had restored electricity to three reactors at the Fukushima plant and hoped to test water pumps at the damaged facility soon. Tokyo Electric resumes work to restore power at reactors numbers 1-4.
