IRCTC site, app down: Users unable to download railway tickets after making payment

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website and mobile application suffered an unexpected outage on Tuesday morning. Several users complained that they were unable to receive or view tickets on the screen. Others said that they were facing a technical issue and were not able to make payment.

According to the tracking website Downdetector.com, many users face issues accessing IRCTC website a mobile app. The latest update by the tracking website shows that over 350 users faced issues while booking tickets from IRCTC services.

The Downdetector reported that the booking services began experiencing technical issues around 10:01 am on Tuesday. The outage peaked at 11:09 am, the Downdetector graph showed.   Around 300 users had faced issues accessing the website as well as the mobile app.

Meanwhile, on corporate front, the IRCTC will announce the June quarter results today. A News18 report quoting stock broking firm Prabhudas Lilladher said the street expectation is that the state-run firm is likely to post 6.7 percent YoY increase in net profit. While the Q1 results will be announced today, company's 25th Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday, August 30 at 12:30 pm.
