The Finance Ministry is planning to do away with the mid-year economic review which it usually presents in the winter session of the parliament, reports CNBC-TV18.

The changes will be on account of the proposal to advance the budget dates from February-end to January-end.

The finance ministry instead is currently working on presenting a shorter version of the same in January and the detailed survey will now be presented in next year July.
