Shankara Building Projects posted its second set of earnings after listing in April with a good show and retail business has been the key positive driver.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Sukumar Srinivas, MD, Shankara Buildpro spoke about the results and his outlook for the company.
Retail has been a key driver for the company and we have posted a fairly decent uptick around 28 percent and the margins have also gone up, he said.
He hopes to sustain the margin level and he is positive on the way the business is moving forward, he added.
The company has been consciously de-growing its channel business which has shown some decline. However, the same-store-sales-growth (SSSG) has been at 15 percent level. So we do see a fairly strong growth potential in the coming quarter, said Srinivas.
There were some uncertainties in the market in the month of June due to goods and services tax (GST). With the GST behind now and the dust settling in, Srinivas is hopeful of seeing things taking the positive route from this quarter.
According to him, real results of festive season will be visible in Q3 of FY18.
