Hindalco Q3 net profit seen up at Rs 544 cr

The world's largest aluminium rolling company Hindalco Industries is set to announce its results for the quarter ended December 2010. According to CNBC-TV18 estimates, its net profit is expected to go up at Rs 543.95 crore as against Rs 433.81 crore in previous quarter and Rs 427.1 crore in same quarter the previous year.

The world's largest aluminium rolling company Hindalco Industries is set to announce its results for the quarter ended December 2010. According to CNBC-TV18 estimates, its net profit is expected to go up at Rs 543.95 crore as against Rs 433.81 crore in previous quarter and Rs 427.1 crore in same quarter the previous year.

Revenues are seen going up at Rs 6,155.98 crore from Rs 5,859.94 crore (QoQ) and Rs 5,315.28 crore (YoY).

Earning before interest, depreciation, tax and amortisation (EBIDTA) is likely to go up at Rs 844.12 crore from Rs 698.35 crore (QoQ) and Rs 747.59 crore (YoY).

Q3FY11 expectations
* LME prices to drive revenue growth; Aluminium LME prices up 12% QoQ
* Aluminium volumes are expected to increase 11% QoQ to 142000 tons; while copper will decline 15% QoQ to 80000 tons
* Copper production affected due to breakdown of cooling towers of its sulfuric acid plant
* Blended realization of aluminum expected to improve 8% QoQ to Rs 160459/ton and of copper expected 14% QoQ higher to Rs 480059/ton
* EBITDA expected grow 21% QoQ due to better aluminum performance
