VE Commercial Vehicles sales up 36.5% in April

The company, a joint venture between Sweden's Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, said Eicher-branded trucks and buses recorded total sales of 5,326 units in April compared with 3,838 units in the corresponding month last year, up 38.8 percent.

    VE Commercial Vehicles today reported 36.5 per cent increase in total sales in April at 5,365 units as against 3,930 units last year.

    The company, a joint venture between Sweden's Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, said Eicher-branded trucks and buses recorded total sales of 5,326 units in April compared with 3,838 units in the corresponding month last year, up 38.8 percent.

    In the domestic market, sales of Eicher trucks and buses stood at 4,641 units in April compared with 3,503 units in the year-ago month, up 32.5 percent, VECV said in a statement.

    Exports of Eicher trucks and buses stood at 685 units in April as against 335 units in the same month last year, up 104.5 percent.

    Volvo trucks recorded a 57 percent sales at 39 units in last month compared with 92 units in April 2015, the company added.
