    The National Advisory Council headed by Sonia Gandhi has made some strong recommendations on land acquisition policy. These include a higher compensation to land owners and landless labourers, which encompasses sharing profits with farmers every time the land is sold. CNBC-TV18's Gopika Gopakumar reports on whether these recommendations are making industrialization tougher.

    6x: Too high a price?


    The strongly pro-farmer tilt of the national advisory council's recommendations on land acquisition is worrying India Inc as there is a strong opposition to the proposal that farmers who lose land should be paid six times the registered sale deed.
