2G trial: Shahid Balwa's bail hearing adjourned till May 2

Bail hearing of Shahid Balwa, one of the prime accused of the 2G spectrum scam, has been adjourned till May 2. Sources in the Central Bureau of Investigation have confirmed that a third chargesheet would be filed by July detailing the money trail of Loop Telecom, while investigations on other companies would continue.

Bail hearing of DB Realty's former managing director Shahid Balwa, one of the prime accused of the 2G spectrum scam, has been adjourned till May 2.

Sources in the Central Bureau of Investigation have confirmed that a third chargesheet would be filed by July detailing the money trail of Loop Telecom, while investigations on other companies would continue.

The bureau may seek time beyond May 31 from the Supreme Court for the probe, sources added.

Meanwhile, sources also indicate that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has given Prime Minister Manmohan Singh a clean chit while raising questions on the role of his office in the 2G spectrum scam. Read more here.
