Amid outages in several areas in South Delhi, the Delhi government on Thursday reviewed the power situation in the national capital and asked private discoms to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity.

Officials said several areas in South Delhi faced power cuts from 7 am to 11 am on rotational basis due to technical snag in a 220 KV transmission grid.

The areas affected by the power cuts include Greater Kailash part I and II, Kalkaji, CR Park, Okhla and adjoining areas.

"There was no power in our area for two hours," said Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Okhla.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary PK Tripathi reviewed the power situation and asked discoms as well as power department officials to take steps to ensure uninterrupted supply.

Power department officials later said the city has more power than the requirement and there will be no load-shedding during the summer season.
