Toyota Kirloskar Motor's total sales in January rose 89% year-on-year to 17,395 units, helped by strong demand for the Etios and Etios Liva cars and the new Innova and Fortuner utility vehicles.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor's total sales in January rose 89% year-on-year to 17,395 units, helped by strong demand for the Etios and Etios Liva cars and the new Innova and Fortuner utility vehicles.Toyota sold 8,874 units of the Etios last month, which included 4,844 Etios sedans and 4,030 Etios Liva hatchbacks.It sold 6,794 units of the new Innova and 941 units of the Fortuner, both of which were launched in the Delhi Auto Expo last month."The increase in the plant capacity has helped us cater to the large demand for our vehicles facilitating higher sales last month. We expect to see a further growth in Fortuner sales with an increase in its production from this month onwards," said Sandeep Singh, deputy MD - marketing.
