So far there is Infosys, Cognizant, MindTree and Hexaware that are currently involved in the lobbying body. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Tech Mahindra and HCL Technologies are still mulling if they will be joining, but they are likely to join the consortium as well. The consortium will be preparing a roadmap in order to put forth discussion with the US Congress in order to remove the clauses that are detrimental to Indian IT. The biggest issue that Indian IT companies have is the outplacement clause, which will lead to a rise in costs for Indian IT companies.  They are currently in talks with legal and immigration experts. They may move to the US perhaps a couple of executives in order to lobby in the next four months, which is the time period that is expected for the bill to be passed. This particular lobbying body will be crucial in putting forth Indian IT’s perspective on the Immigration Bill.
