Like numerous previous weekends, host Salman Khan harshly criticised Tanya Mittal in the most recent episode of Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar. Even though Tanya was questioned several times, viewers noticed that Amaal Mallik was not reprimanded for referring to her as "kutta" in a live video taken outside the house.
Online debate has been triggered by this disparity, which many have described as unjust and biased.
Manu Punjabi, a former Bigg Boss winner, has now publicly endorsed Tanya. He criticised the way she was treated and reminded everyone of Tanya's contributions within the home, particularly her bond with Amaal.
"Amaal, sir, you wore the clothes that Tanya had pressed for you," Manu remarked. “You are acting so horribly towards her despite the fact that she has done so much more for you. You have never been friends with her. Tanya has been completely supportive of you, despite the fact that she may have many shortcomings, be dishonest, and have done many things for the sake of the game,” he added.
He continued, “What all is needed in the house? You got clothes which she ironed for you; she washed vessels for you. Right? She oiled your hair and even made you hear bedtime stories, which brought you peace. She has been roaming around you and has defended you at all times. She has even heard negative comments and harsh comments for herself from you."
Manu made it clear that Tanya’s loyalty and support were genuine. She elaborated, “Brother, you should not have been so bad with her. Tanya is trying to make Farrhana Bhatt understand, and she is trying to help everyone. Don’t make her feel so left out and lonely.”
He concluded by condemning the language used: “Not appreciated… ‘2 chaate marke kaam karwata’ — Tanya ko mat bol haina. Naye dost kya mil gaye, purane doston ki aukaat hi bhool gaye.” (Not appreciated...give her two slaps and make her work – don't tell this about Tanya. You forgot her and left her out as soon as you found new friends.)
