Diwali saw the biggest releases at the box office this time with Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor starrer Singham. Again clashing with Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Both the movies released to packed audiences across India, and Rohit Shetty's CopVerse Singham Again opened to a good start and collected Rs 43.50 crore nett on Day 1 of its release, according to Sacnilk.
The movie is going to further benefit from the long weekend thanks to Diwali and Bhai Dooj. This is the third movie by director Rohit Shetty in the Singham franchise.
Singham Again, which is a multi-starrer, had an overall 65.35% occupancy in Hindi on Friday.
The morning shows had 39.39% occupancy, but for the afternoon shows it saw a spike and had 71.90%; the evening and night shows saw an occupancy of 75.91% and 74.19% respectively.

Singham Again is going to get competition from Kartika Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which has also got a good opening. But when we reached the cinema halls, we saw audiences for both the movies—Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 as well.
Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, is co-produced by Jio Studios, Rohit Shetty Productions, and Reliance Entertainment.
The film has a mamoth star cast. Besides Ajay Devgn, who reprises the role of Bajirao Singham, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles.
Singham Again is loosely based on the epic Ramayana.
