Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently went to a pre-release event for Subham, the first film produced by her own production company, Tra La La Moving Pictures, in Vizag, Visakhapatnam.

Although the appearance was intended to be a celebration, it soon attracted notice for another reason: Samantha was seen repeatedly wiping her eyes, which sparked a lot of conjecture about her emotional state on social media.

Many fans thought the actress had become emotional during the event because videos of her wiping her eyes went viral. Her obvious discomfort was taken as a sign of deeper emotional stress by worried admirers, who started posting messages of support and concern on various platforms.

However, Samantha was quick to address the rumours and offered a clarification via her Instagram Story, putting an end to the speculation. “I just want to set the record straight on one thing. I have said this before, but I am forced to say again that my eyes are really sensitive to bright lights and they tend to water. So there are a lot of posts and articles going around about my emotional well-being,” she explained.

Refuting the claims of emotional distress, she further added, “I just want to make it clear that it has absolutely nothing to do with my emotional state. I am absolutely fine, happy and excited at the moment, so please give it a rest. Let’s not do this all over again.”
