Bollywood actor Jaaved Jaaferi recently reflected on Shah Rukh Khan’s unique journey to stardom, sharing insights into how the Bollywood icon developed a signature style that set him apart from others.
During an interview with MensXP, Jaaved recalled working with Shah Rukh on the 1995 film Oh Darling Yeh Hai India.
Even then, he recognized SRK’s intelligence and clear vision for his career. “He is a very intelligent guy. Of course, he is educated but he is also an intelligent guy. Really wise. He knew where he wanted to be. And he made a point, which I knew, but he just underlined it.”
Jaaved noted, emphasizing that Shah Rukh had an early understanding of what it takes to stand out in the competitive film industry.
According to Jaaved, Shah Rukh explained his approach to becoming a star, saying, “You know, to be a star, you need a certain style. A thing that is your own. He got that.” This distinctive style, Jaaved elaborated, has defined Shah Rukh’s career, making him instantly recognizable on and off the screen.
Jaaved humorously mimicked iconic Bollywood actors like Shatrughan Sinha, Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dharmendra, all of whom have their own signature styles. He added that SRK, unlike many of his contemporaries, is the only actor of this generation with such a recognizable flair.
“He is the only one in this generation who is identified with a style. Other actors don’t have that.” Jaaved remarked, emphasizing how Shah Rukh’s unique style sets him apart from fellow superstars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

Currently, Shah Rukh Khan is filming King, an action drama that will reportedly also feature his daughter Suhana Khan and actor Abhay Verma.
SRK recently discussed the project at the Locarno Film Festival, "It is an action drama, it’s a Hindi film. It’ll be interesting. I’ve been wanting to do a film like that for some time, and I really wanted to do a film like this for seven, eight years. We just felt Sujoy would be the right choice, because we wanted it to be very emotionally correct. We are all coming together to make a cool, massy, action, emotional film."

While Shah Rukh may not be focused on Hollywood, his dream is to bring Indian films to a global audience, saying, “My dream is to get that one Indian film to be seen with the kind of audience that a big Hollywood film is seen, whether I’m part of it as an actor, as a light man, as a producer, as a writer, as a presenter.”
Shah Rukh was last seen in Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu, and fans eagerly await his next action-packed performance in King.
