Prabhas, the Pan-Indian superstar, continues to build an impressive lineup of films, and according to a recent report, he may have just added another major project to his slate.
As per a report from Gulte, the 45-year-old actor has reportedly agreed to star in a new film with Prasanth Varma, the director of the popular film Jai Hanuman. Although the movie has not yet been officially announced, it is expected to be shot before Prabhas begins work on his sequels for Kalki 2898 AD: Part II and Salaar Part II.
According to the report, Prabhas is currently involved in The Raja Saab, a project directed by Maruthi, which is slated for release in theatres in April this year.
After wrapping up The Raja Saab, Prabhas was expected to move on to Fauji and Spirit. However, it now appears that a new film has taken priority, pushing back the previously planned projects.
The actor, who has a packed schedule ahead, is first set to work on Fauji with director Hanu Raghavapudi and Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Initially, Prabhas was expected to begin filming for Kalki 2, followed by Salaar 2, but it seems that the plans have shifted.
It was also mentioned that Prabhas is scheduled for a look test for the Varma-directed film on February 26, 2025.
This shift in schedule means that Prabhas will be working on this new film with Prasanth Varma before diving into Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar 2.
Meanwhile, Prasanth Varma, who has several projects in the works, seems to have temporarily put his film with Mokshagna Nandamuri on hold in favour of this new venture with Prabhas.
An official announcement regarding the project is expected to be made soon, and fans are eagerly awaiting more details.
