Thudarum, the Mohanlal-Shobana starrer earning praise across Kerala, has now been hit by a piracy scandal. A pirated copy of the film was reportedly screened in broad daylight on a tourist bus travelling from Malappuram to Vagamon.

Thudarum movie gets leaked

Due in large part to positive reviews and a lot of word-of-mouth, Thudarum, the captivating Malayalam crime thriller starring Mohanlal and Shobana, has been doing well since it opened in theatres on April 25, 2025.

With its compelling plot and stirring performances, Tharun Moorthy's film has struck a chord with viewers in Kerala and beyond. But just as the movie was starting to do well at the box office, it has regrettably become the focus of a piracy dispute.

OnManorama reported that a pirated version of Thudarum was shown on a tourist bus during the day. The incident happened as the car was making its way from Malappuram to the picturesque hill station of Vagamon.

A student on the bus recorded the movie being shown after noticing the unlawful screening. The incident gained more public attention after the video was shared with actor Binu Pappu on Facebook.
