South Korean actor Park Si-hoo is gearing up for his return to the big screen after staying away from films for nearly a decade. While promoting his latest project Choir of God, the 49-year-old opened up about both his long break from cinema and the recent allegations surrounding him. Park noted that this marks his first film-related media appearance in more than 15 years.

The press event also served as Park’s first public response to accusations made by a social media influencer, who claimed that the actor had been involved in an affair that allegedly led to the collapse of her marriage.

According to The Chosun Daily, Park’s legal representatives at HyeMyung Law Firm have filed a defamation complaint, pointing to violations of information protection laws. He denied the allegations and explained that the case is now with the police, adding that he intends to let the legal process unfold. As reported by Chosun, no additional details were provided during the briefing.

Briefly addressing the matter, Park shared, “I have mixed feelings about discussing personal matters here. I apologize to the director and fellow actors.”
