The makers of War 2 hosted a spectacular pre-release event in Hyderabad on Sunday, August 10, just four days ahead of the film’s big-screen debut.
The evening, which was the only pre-release celebration for the film, attracted enormous crowds of people, especially Jr. NTR fans, who came in droves to support their favourite actor. A special video of Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR's eagerly awaited first public appearance together was released earlier in the day by Sithara Entertainments.
Director Ayan Mukerji, producers Naga Vamsi and Dil Raju, and others graced the stage after their arrival, each giving impassioned speeches to commemorate the event.
But when Hrithik Roshan took the stage to express his respect for Jr. NTR and consider the lessons he had gained from working with him, it was one of the night's most touching moments.
Hrithik said, "I see a lot of myself in Tarak. We have had very similar journeys for 25 years now, and I think Tarak sees a little bit of himself in me also. It is true when they say that he is a one-take final-take star."
He went on to add, "On set, Tarak, I have not just observed you, but I have learnt from you. I have learnt how to go into a shot 100% — not 99.99%, not 99.999, but 100%. Which is why when he comes out of a shot, there is no judgment on me. He will not even check the shot because he knows he has given everything to it. And I will apply that in my future films. Tarak, thank you for teaching me that."
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is one of the most anticipated action thrillers of the year, forming part of YRF’s ambitious Spy Universe and serving as a sequel to War, where Hrithik Roshan first portrayed the role of agent Kabir.
The film is set for a massive box office clash with Rajinikanth’s Coolie on August 14.
