Ranbir Kapoor once explained why is he not the one dancing on weddings like other celebrities.
One of the most talked-about events of the season is the extravagant wedding of Netra Mantena, the daughter of US-based industrialist Raju Ramalinga Mantena, and Vamsi Gadiraju in Udaipur.
Unsurprisingly, Ranveer Singh's signature charm and energy stole the show at the star-studded celebrations, which featured an impressive lineup of Bollywood celebrities and international guests.
With his electrifying dance moves and contagious enthusiasm, Ranveer lit up the stage and got everyone on their feet, including international celebrities and business magnates.

In the 2011 chat with Times Now, a younger Ranbir had firmly stated that he would never dance at weddings for money, saying it wasn’t in line with the values he was raised with.
“I wouldn’t do it because of the family I come from. Having said that, I’m not against the people who do it. But it’s not the values I’ve been brought up with,” he had said.
Ranbir, a fourth-generation member of the legendary Kapoor family — great-grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor, grandson of Raj Kapoor, and son of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor — went on to explain his reasoning further.
“There’s nothing wrong. But money is not my drive. I don’t want to earn billions and billions. I’m an actor. My drive is different. My passions are different. I don’t want to lose my dignity in my eyes dancing at a wedding, with people standing with a glass of alcohol and there could be snide comments. I wouldn’t want any of my family members to do it. It’s a personal choice. I wouldn’t do it.”
He also added that refusing to perform at weddings wouldn’t affect his stardom, saying, “I wouldn’t lose stardom, but I wouldn’t allow my stardom to make myself think that if I’m a star, I can do anything and get away with it.”

Ironically, Ranbir was later seen joyfully dancing alongside Shah Rukh Khan and other stars at Anant Ambani’s wedding in Mumbai.
Ranveer on the other hand, even managed to get Donald Trump Jr. and his partner Bettina Anderson to groove to his peppy hit “What Jhumka?” from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
Not stopping there, he turned the celebration into a full-blown party, performing “Aankh Maarey” from Simmba (2018) and rapping his iconic “Apna Time Aayega” from Gully Boy (2019).
