Akshay Kumar is stepping into uncharted territory with his upcoming film Haiwaan, where he plays a negative character, a rare move for the actor known for his heroic roles. Interestingly, before locking in the decision, Akshay sought the opinion of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The two shared an engaging on-stage conversation at the FICCI FRAMES 2025 event in Mumbai, where they discussed the art of embracing new challenges and the value of versatility in cinema.

Akshay began by saying, “I am doing a film where I play a negative character. I was wondering whether I should do it or not. The film is called Haiwaan, but in the end, I lose. The Haiwaan loses.”

Fadnavis, smiling, was quick to back the idea. “Yes, you should definitely do it. A versatile actor like you should explore all kinds of roles,” he said, drawing applause from the audience.
