Angelina Jolie has proposed a resolution in her ongoing legal battle with Brad Pitt concerning their co-owned French winery, Chateau Miraval. The dispute centres on Jolie selling her shares to a third party, which Pitt claims violated their agreement.
Jolie's legal team issued a statement urging Pitt to withdraw his lawsuit and end the conflict. They accuse Pitt of using the lawsuit and a prior attempt to buy her shares to exert control and punish Jolie.
To resolve a brewing legal battle, Angelina Jolie's lawyer has requested Brad Pitt withdraw his lawsuit regarding their co-owned French winery, Chateau Miraval. Previously, they held equal ownership (50/50) until Jolie decided to sell her stake in 2021.
According to his statement to Page Six, Angelina's lawyer said, "Bradd Pitt has control of all the properties the couple shared as well as control of the business, but still he demands more, and is suing Angelina for $67 million plus punitive damages.”

“In doing so, Pitt placed squarely at issue why he tried to punish and control Angelina by demanding a newly expanded NDA to cover his personal misconduct and abuse. Those actions are central to these proceedings. We are not at all surprised Mr. Pitt is afraid to turn over the documents demonstrating these facts,” he said.
Angelina's lawyer further said, "While Angelina again asks Mr. Pitt to end the fighting and finally put their family on a clear path toward healing, unless Mr. Pitt withdraws his lawsuit, Angelina has no choice but to obtain the evidence necessary to prove his allegations wrong.”
As per the reports, Jolie contested Pitt's lawsuit in April, claiming he altered their initial agreement. She alleges Pitt refused to purchase her winery stake unless she signed a more extensive NDA, which she believed was an attempt to silence her from speaking about his alleged abuse towards her and their children. Pitt's lawyers strongly refuted this accusation.
