Amitabh Bachchan congratulates Mohanlal for ‘well-deserved’ Dadasaheb Phalke Award: 'I am a great admirer of your work'

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has recently congratulated Mohanlal on receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2023. The seasoned actor referred to the honour as a "well-deserved recognition" on social media.

Amitabh Bachchan took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle and tweeted, "Mohanlal Ji, I am truly delighted that you have received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award – it is such a well-deserved recognition! Many congratulations. I am a great admirer of your work and craft.”
He continued, “The simplicity with which you express the deepest of emotions is truly remarkable. May you continue to inspire us all with your unmatched talent and remain a guiding light. With boundless respect and pride, I extend my heartfelt wishes and look forward to witnessing many more of your incredible performances in the years ahead."

Amitabh Bachchan and Mohanlal have co-starred in films like Kandahar (2010) and Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag (2007).

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar also congratulated Mohanlal on his big win. He wrote on X, “Heartiest congratulations, @Mohanlal sir, on being honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Every time I’ve had the chance to meet you or observe your work, it’s been like sitting in the front row of the greatest acting school ever. This recognition is so richly deserved.
