Allu Arjun and Atlee are set to collab for their upcoming untitled project. The producers, Sun Pictures, dropped the announcement video of the film on Tuesday. Set to create much hype among the fans. However, it quickly started received backlash after netizens found it to be similar to Hollywood sci-fi film franchise, Dune's poster.
Many fans have noted that the poster for Allu Arjun's upcoming film AA22 closely resembles that of Denis Villeneuve’s acclaimed sci-fi epic Dune, which stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.
The comparisons quickly gained traction on social media, with users on X calling out the makers for seemingly mimicking the design and expressing disappointment over the lack of originality.
One user wrote, "The film has not been started yet, and already copy paste started?"
Another post read, "We have such great talent in the country, why copy and if you do why be so blatant? There is no doubt that the poster does look good so perhaps they thought that it’s worth the risk. Allu Arjun-Atlee's poster copied from Dune?"
Another one pointed out, "Doesn't it look like the Dune poster?"

Allu Arjun’s upcoming film, tentatively titled AA22, is being touted as a sci-fi entertainer. Though plot details remain under wraps, the project is expected to begin filming later this year.
