Akshay Kumar took to social media to wish his son Aarav on his 23rd birthday today (September 15).
The Khiladi actor shared a sweet selfie with Aarav on Instagram as he wished his “baby boy” on his special day.
The caption read, "Happy 23rd, Aarav! When I was twenty-three, I was learning to beat up people on screen… it’s a strange feeling now to see you beat me every day—whether in tech, fashion, or arguments at the dinner table. Dekhte hi dekhte itna bada ho gaya hai yaar tu… You make me feel like a proud sidekick in my own story. Love you, beta. Cheers to the best 23 years of my life, because they’ve been with you."
Several celebrity friends of the actor, along with fans, flooded the comments section with birthday wishes for Aarav. Warda Khan, wife of producer Sajid Nadiadwala, wrote: "Happy Happy Bday to my Aarav whoofff!!!! How time flies."
Many fans also pointed out the striking resemblance between father and son. One wrote, "Real love we can see in Akshay Kumar’s eyes... feeling so nice to see papa-bete ki jodi." Another added: "Same smile hai dono baap bete ki."
Aarav’s mother, Twinkle Khanna also wished her son by sharing the same picture of Akshay and Aarav.
She penned an emotional note, "And he turns 23. Though I have an undeniable compulsion to hold on to him, it would be wise to remember that children are like the air stored in our lungs—ours only for a moment before the next exhalation. This may not be an entirely correct analogy because unlike breaths, we can’t keep popping babies in and out constantly, but you get the point right :) Here’s to the birthday boy. May he continue filling the world with his innate kindness."
