TDP MP Ram Mohan Naidu has been named the new minister of civil aviation in the Modi 3.0 government. He will replace Jyotiraditya Scindia.
NDA ally TDP has been given a Cabinet and an MoS berth in Modi's council of ministers.
Naidu, 36, is the youngest of the 72 ministers who are part of the new Modi government.
He joined politics after his father and TDP leader K Yerran Naidu died in a road accident in 2012.
Before this, Ram Mohan was working in Singapore after completing his master’s degree in business administration from Long Island University.
He is also the national general secretary of the TDP. He won the 2024 Lok Sabha polls from Srikakulam with a margin of over 3.27 lakh votes.
Meanwhile, Scindia, who won from his family bastion of Guna in Madhya Pradesh in the 2024 polls, will be the new telecom minister.
Scindia was given the civil aviation ministry after he defected from Congress to BJP in 2021.
He has also been made MoS (independent charge) of ministry of development of North Eastern region.
